Our Objectives
Define, clarify and promote company positions on the environment
- Define position statements for corporate members to adopt on issues of interest related to the environment.
- Act as a spokesperson representing the positions of members to various stakeholders closely involved with environmental issues and challenges.
- Encourage federal, provincial and municipal governments to collaborate on the harmonization of their laws, regulations and environmental policies.
- Assess economic impacts associated with public environmental regulations and actions.
Encourage corporate members to adopt procedures consistent with environmental protection and sustainable development principles
- Develop toolkits that encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices.
Communicate and inform
- Create an information exchange forum through which corporate members may access reliable information about current environmental issues.
- Provide strong technological, scientific and economic evidence to support arguments on environmental risks and challenges.
- Offer costumized courses, training sessions and conferences on environmental issues.
Encourage dialogue and collaboration
- Encourage dialogue and partnerships involving various stakeholders of the public, economic and governemental sectors, where environment and sustainable development is of concern.
- Get involved in national and international issues likely to have an impact in Quebec.
- Participate and contribute to committees, workshops and other activities related to CPEQ's mission and objectives.
