How do internal committees work?

Whenever a business joins CPEQ, it may choose to delegate one or many representatives responsible for taking part in as many committees as the company is interested in. Committee members meet only when necessary, as arising issues request their attention. For instance, CPEQ could create a committee responsible for giving feedback to governmental authorities following the publication of a new proposed regulation. A meeting could also be held on the request of a member whishing to discuss a given topic of interest, or for any other pertinent reason.

Following a meeting, CPEQ usually produces a summary report which is passed on to committee members. CPEQ may also release position statements or comment letters intended to inform concerned legal authorities of the preoccupations shared by its members, and to submit solutions to the concerns at hand.

Note that participation to meetings is made on a voluntary basis. Moreover, any member may choose to take part in a committee solely to receive the documentation associated with it.
